Compassion-Focused Therapy

Compassion-focused therapy is a multi-method, integrative therapy that utilizes compassionate mind training as part of a process-oriented therapy to help people develop and work with experiences of safeness, soothing, and inner warmth via compassion and self-compassion. Founded by psychologist, Dr. Paul Gilbert, compassion-focused therapy draws from evolutionary, developmental, social, and Buddhist psychology, as well as from neuroscience.
